Steps Involved in DHA Lahore’s Transfer Procedure

Below, we have outlined the DHA Lahore transfer process step-by-step:

  1. Verification of Property

Verification of Property

Before proceeding with the property transfer in DHA Lahore, it is essential to have the property verified by DHA’s management. The verification process typically takes 24 hours to complete and comes with a fee of 2,000 PKR.

To initiate the verification, you must submit the Verification Form along with the following documents at the DHA Lahore office:

  1. Verification Form
  2. Copy of Allotment Letter
  3. Copy of CNIC
  4. Original Receipt of Verification Fee

Request for No Demand Certificate (NDC)

A No Demand Certificate is the initial requirement for a property transfer, where the owner must resolve all outstanding objections and settle any pending dues.

Once you have filled in the NDC form, you can submit it to DHA Office along with the required documents. Once all the necessary documents are submitted, a Receipt will be issued to visit again and submit the Transfer Fees and any pending dues to attain the No Demand Certificate. The Transfer Fee will be determined based on the type of transfer.

Clear FBR Taxes and Pending Dues

Both the seller and purchaser must clear their FBR taxes (236C and 236K) and submit proof of payment to the DHA office. Additionally, the buyer is responsible for paying the transfer fee, while the seller must settle any pending dues with DHA, if applicable.

Following this, a transfer appointment will be scheduled, requiring the presence of both the seller and the purchaser to complete the transfer process.

After the NDC has been issued, the transfer process can be completed within 24 to 48 hours. Seller and Buyer must be present in the DHA Office at the time of transfer. 

In the case of an Overseas Seller and Overseas Purchaser, the process can take weeks and the interested person would be required to provide a Scanned Passport and proof of overseas residence.

  • Original Transfer Letters/Sales Deed and Affidavits (for Registered Plots)
  • Original and 1 x Photocopy of CVT-1 & IT-5 Forms
  • Original paid Tax receipts
  • Original paid water bill of current/last month (For House/Buildings)
  • NADRA Biometric/verisys/Biosys for seller/ buyer

Receive the File

After the transfer process is completed and file/plot/property has been transferred in the new owner’s name, the new owner will show the receipt and CNIC to collect the file from the DHA Office after 30 days.
